Canadian Law Awards name Natalie Worsfold and Counter Tax Litigators LLP finalists for Female Trailblazer of the Year, recognizing leadership and judgment in complex tax disputes.
The Canadian Law Awards have named Natalie Worsfold, tax litigator and co-founder of Counter Tax Litigators LLP, a finalist for Female Trailblazer of the Year (Private Practice).
Worsfold appears among excellence awardees from McCarthy Tétrault LLP, Baker McKenzie, Dentons, and Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP—recognition reserved for litigators whose work raises standards of performance and professionalism across Canadian law.
For over fifteen years, Worsfold has represented boards, audit committees, and C-suite executives in high-stakes CRA disputes. Her record reflects judgement, composure, and clarity under pressure—qualities that define effective advocacy when the economic and reputational stakes are highest.
“At some point, every dispute tests judgement and control,” said Worsfold. “The clients we serve don’t need noise — they need quiet, credible advocacy that earns confidence at the table.”
As lead counsel in complex reassessment and objection matters, Worsfold brings strategic foresight and calm execution to every phase of litigation. Her work continues to set a benchmark for modern tax dispute resolution.
“Natalie skillfully operates in the space where credibility and pressure meet,” said Peter Aprile, Partner and Head of Tax Controversy & Litigation at Counter LLLP. “Her judgement shapes how disputes unfold, and the CEOs and CFOs we serve experience them.”
For over 20 years, Counter Tax Litigators LLP has focused solely on tax disputes. We work with CEOs and CFOs of established private companies to confront high-stakes CRA challenges that test control, exposure, and credibility. We collaborate with executives, adding their business perspective to our litigation expertise. That collaboration and discipline compound judgment, reveal stronger case options, and secure credible outcomes that endure.
